Here you can book an initial appointment to receive more information about the support available from the Centre Against Violence.

 

 

Prerequisites

The Centre Against Violence provides advice, support, and treatment for people affected by domestic violence, honour-based violence, and oppression.

We provide support to people living in Jämtland County who have experienced violence, to relatives of those affected by violence, and treatment for people who feel they have difficulty controlling their anger or aggression and want help to change their behaviour.

We also offer treatment for people who have paid for sex, believe they may have a sex addiction, or experience problematic pornography use.

The Centre Against Violence does not offer couples counselling. If needed, we refer individuals to the Family Counselling Service in Jämtland County.

Book an Appointment

You can book an appointment for an in-person visit in Östersund, by telephone, or by video call. You may remain anonymous during the first conversation.

During the information session, we will discuss your situation and plan together how you can move forward. If you would like counselling or support from us, you will be placed on our waiting list.

If you are already in contact with a counsellor or therapist, please book your appointment directly with them.

You can find your booked appointment by logging in to E-services on Östersund Municipality's website under My Pages, where you can cancel or reschedule your appointment.

What Happens After You Submit Your Request?

If you have booked an appointment for information about support as a victim of violence or as a relative of someone who has experienced violence, you can choose whether or not to receive an SMS confirmation.

After submitting your booking, please make sure to note the appointment time you selected.
